What you need : ¼ c butter ¼ c flour ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp pepper 1 tbsp old style mustard 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce 1 c whole milk ½ c beer (IPA or Pale Ale) 1 c Comté cheese, shredded 6 slices bread
Melt butter in a saucepan, then stir in flour. Cook and stir until smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in milk, then bring to a boil. Melt Comté in the sauce then add in the beer, seasonings, and sauces. Remove from heat. Toast bread slices, then spoon cheese sauce over. And cook under broiler until cheese is bubbling and golden.
