Elevate Your Appetizer Game with a Comté & Mushroom Bruschetta

Mackenzie suggests trying her Mushroom Bruschetta, pairing it with a crispy baguette and the iconic and flavorful Comté cheese to create a perfect appetizer that everyone will love!

Mushroom Bruschetta Recipe:

You will need : 1 medium baguette, 8 oz Comté cheese, 2 shallots, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves + more for serving and 1 cup baby Bella mushrooms

Slice the baguette, coat with olive oil, and bake at 375°F. While it’s baking, sauté mushrooms, shallots, and garlic with butter. Top each baguette slice with a piece of Comté cheese, a spoonful of the mushroom sauté, and a few sprigs of thyme.

Enjoy with a glass of Côtes du Rhône red wine. Côtes du Rhône is a designated grape-growing region (AOC, Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) in France’s Rhône Valley. Experiment with different pairings of Côtes du Rhône and Comté to discover how they not only complement but enhance each other.
